Trans Resistance March & Vigil

On June 13, 2020, the day that would have been the 50th Anniversary of Boston Pride, the Trans Resistance March & Vigil brought together thousands of LGBTQ+ activists and allies together in Franklin Park in Dorchester to center and celebrate Black Trans Lives. We raised over $100,000 for the Transgender Emergency Fund’s housing initiative to end trans homelessness in Massachusetts - and the momentum keeps growing!

Boston Globe: On 50th anniversary of Boston Pride, transgender activists return to resistance

“Fifty years after the Boston Pride parade was launched in response to police harassment and brutality against gay patrons at the Stonewall Inn in New York, this year’s commemorative event is being overhauled by Black and transgender activists who say organizers have grown too cozy with police and unresponsive to their needs.”
