You probably haven’t heard this suffrage story before.

I joined the Suffrage100MA team Sept 2019 - December 2020 to guide the Board in commemorating the suffrage centennial because I believe the anniversary is an opportunity for truth and reconciliation for the feminist movement. I provided an equity, inclusion & social justice organizational analysis & action plan for the board, helped establish and grow the Suffrage100MA coalition to almost 200 organizations, managed social media and communications calendar and played a key role in writing & producing the commemorative film 'The Fight for Women's Suffrage: Looking Back, Marching Forward.’ This film gives a multi-faceted glimpse into the suffrage movement, from the abolitionist movement in the 19th century that led to the suffrage movement, to the ratification of the 19th Amendment 100 years ago, to the Voting Rights Act of 1965 and to the many barriers women of color in particular faced and continue to face. The feminist movement today stands on the shoulders of generations of feminist activists, Trans, Queer, Black, Indigenous suffragists and allies. I’m eternally grateful for the opportunity to share this suffrage herstory as we grow and strengthen our movement.
